Privacy — how a NEEV call uses your mic and camera
NEEV is a voice and camera assistant operated by Axionix Limited, working for the hire firm whose sticker or link you opened.
What happens during a call
- Your microphone is on for the whole call and off the moment it ends. There is no background recording.
- Your camera is on during the call so NEEV can look at the machine and the work with you. You can point it at the floor, turn it off, or run the whole call by voice only.
- What you say and show is turned into a job record — the structured record the hire firm's desk receives.
Who processes it
NEEV does not run every part of the call on its own machines. To make the call work, voice and camera data pass through these providers:
- LiveKit — carries the live call (audio and video transport).
- Deepgram — turns your speech into text.
- OpenAI — turns the conversation into answers and into the job record.
- Cartesia — turns NEEV's answers into the voice you hear.
- Google — analyses camera frames so NEEV can see what you show it. Camera frames are processed on Google servers in the United States.
Each provider processes the data to provide the call, not for its own advertising.
Why
To fill in the hire firm's job record by voice instead of a form, to answer questions about the machine in front of you, and to keep an honest account of what was said, seen and worked out.
Where it is kept
The record of your call is kept with the hire firm's job record. NEEV keeps the session data needed to produce and back that record. To see, correct or remove a record, start with the desk whose number is on the machine's sticker or in your link — they own the job record.
